Treatment technique

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy uses light contact and sustained holds, often around the head, neck, spine, or pelvis. Bee explains where she proposes to place her hands and may include this technique alongside other hands-on approaches within your appointment.

During an appointment

What it may feel like

The treatment involves very light contact and subtle techniques. Many people find it calming and restful, and you may notice a sense of relaxation or reduced tension during or after treatment.

Individual suitability

How Bee considers it

Bee considers your health history, assessment findings, and preferences when deciding whether to include this technique. If you are sensitive to touch around your head or neck, let her know so you can discuss adjustments or another approach. It is not a technique you need to choose before booking.

Not sure which technique is right for you?

You don’t need to decide before booking. Your appointment starts with a conversation and assessment, so Bee can discuss an approach that fits your concerns and comfort.

Practical questions

About Craniosacral Therapy

  • You remain clothed while I use light contact, often around the head, spine, or pelvis. I’ll explain the proposed positioning and where I’m considering placing my hands before beginning. We’ll check that you feel comfortable with the approach.

  • The contact is lighter than many other hands-on techniques, so you may not feel much pressure. There isn’t a particular sensation you need to experience. You’re welcome to tell me what you notice or ask what I’m doing at any point.

  • Please let me know, either before the appointment or when we talk. We can discuss your preferences, adjust positioning, or consider a different technique. Contact around your head or neck is not something you need to accept to receive care.

  • It may be one part of an appointment rather than the only technique used. I choose the approach around your conversation, assessment, and comfort, and may blend different tools. You don’t need to book a separate craniosacral package or decide on the technique in advance.
