Treatment technique
Myofascial release involves hands-on work with fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles and other structures. Bee uses sustained contact and pressure through selected areas, with the approach guided by your movement assessment and the tension or discomfort you describe.
During an appointment
You may notice steady pressure, a stretching sensation, or tenderness in the area being worked on. The pressure and pace can be adjusted throughout the treatment. Let Bee know if you would prefer lighter contact or a pause.
Individual suitability
If you notice persistent tightness, stiffness, or discomfort during everyday movement, these are concerns you can discuss with Bee. She considers your health history, movement, and comfort when deciding whether myofascial release belongs in your treatment, either on its own or alongside other techniques.
Practical questions
I still feel tight even when I stretch. How would you assess what’s going on?
We’ll start by talking about where you feel tight, when you notice it, and how it affects your day. I’ll then look at your movement and consider how different areas of your body are working together. That helps us decide whether myofascial release or another approach makes sense for you.
Does myofascial release involve deep pressure, or can it be gentle?
Myofascial release can involve sustained contact or pressure, but the approach is not the same for everyone. We’ll talk about what feels comfortable, and I can adjust the pressure and pace as we go. You’re welcome to tell me if something feels too much.
Why might you work on an area away from where I feel discomfort?
The area that hurts is an important part of the conversation, but it may not be the only area worth assessing. I look at how you move and how different parts of your body interact. If I’m considering working elsewhere, I’ll explain what I’m noticing and why.
How will we decide whether myofascial release fits my appointment?
You don’t need to make that decision before booking. Your health history, current concerns, movement assessment, and preferences help guide the approach. I may use myofascial release alongside other techniques, and we can adjust the plan based on your comfort and response.
